As part of our accelerated training program, State Center Welding offers wraparound services to our trainees to remove barriers to education and help prepare program completers for a successful transition to the workforce.
Soft Skills Training Provider
Career Nexus serves as the soft skills training provider to the State Center Welding Program. Through customized training modules, Career Nexus helps prepare trainees for success by covering topics such as interpersonal skills, job readiness, conflict resolution and more. Additionally, students who complete their training with Career Nexus are eligible for a paid 200 hour internship with a local employer.
Resume Development and Job Placment
The San Joaquin Valley Manufacturing Alliance (SJVMA) is an organization of the Valley’s manufacturing leaders advancing their industry and creating a world-class workforce at the local level. Through it's partnerships with local employers, the SJVMA assists the State Center Welding Program with job placement and resume development for trainees.

The California Strategic Growth Council administers the Transformative Climate Communities grant on behalf of the State of California.
The Fresno County EDC support the State Center Welding Program by funding training activities through the Department of Labor Good Jobs Challenge Grant.
The City of Fresno's Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) grant through the State of California has provided seed money to establish the State Center Welding Program.
West Fresno Family Resource Center serves as the case manager for State Center Welding Program trainees. WFFRC meets with trainees weekly and delivers personalized supportive services through their network of service providers.
